These activities are carried out in close collaboration with partners from Cairo University, National Research Center in Egypt and University of Bonn in Germany. Quite recently, we have developed aptamers that could bind to specific cancer biomarkers. These aptamers have been incorporated in colorimetric biosensors and showed rapid detection with high sensitivity and selectivity. We have also developed carbon-based drug that showed promising cytotoxicity against MCF-7 cancer cells. The growth control of these cancer cells have been studied on aligned and randomly distributed electrospun nanofibers.<\/p>\n<style type=\"text\/css\">\r\n\t\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\r\n\t\t\t\t\tmargin:
