Huge efforts and funds have been devoted for the development of novel materials with superior chemical, electrical, optical, and electronic properties useful for wide range of industrial applications. Over the last few years, the synthesis and processing techniques utilized for the fabrication of novel materials have been modernized and advanced, mainly to adapt the need for low cost, fully controlled, and efficient approaches. In our group, a wide range of metallic, semiconducting, and polymeric materials have been fabricated. Parameters such as size, shape, surface functionality, crystal structure, doping\u2026etc, have been studied and optimized for various materials including carbon nanotubes, graphene, doped graphene, MoS2 nanosheets, graphene quantum dots, silver\/gold nanoparticles, ZnO, TiO2, CdS\/CdSe quantum dots, polymeric nanofibers, and core-shell nanoparticles. Several advanced as well as low cost techniques have been used to synthesize the materials. These techniques include chemical vapor deposition, hydrothermal, electrospinning, laser scripting, ball milling, polyol, sol-gel and precipitation. Our group has the facilities needed for the electrical, optical, surface, and structural characterization of the prepared materials.<\/span><\/p>\n
